west of Bastrop, Bastrop County, Texas
Old Red Rock Cemetery is located west of the town of Bastrop in Bastrop County, Texas. From the town of Bastrop, take Highway 71 west to Highway 20. Turn left on Highway 20. Turn right on Highway 812. The cemetery is less than a mile on the right.
Victor Harris Stone, II, visited this cemetery in February 2005 and took photos of selected tombstones. Victor's great-great-grandmother, Sarah Frances Sorrell Stone, and other Stone and Sorrell relatives are buried here. The transcriptions and tombstone photos are presented below.
