• Thursday, 1/31/2019 - Team members fly to Guatemala City and then ride to Mazatenango.
• Friday, 2/1/2019 - We attend the 2019 Scholarship Program for the Living Heritage Foundation in the morning, are met by long time friends and visit our project site in the afternoon.
• Saturday, 2/2/2019 - We get a start on our construction project on Saturday. We bent steel for rebar cages, cut and assembled forms for bond beam pours and laid block.
• Sunday, 2/3/2019 - We worship at Iglesia Metodista Fuente de Vida and visit with long time friends in San Antonion Barrio Uno.
• Monday, 2/4/2019 - The community welcomes us with a big celebration, and school children perform traditional dances for us. After the humbling ceremony ends, we get to work bending more steel for rebar cages and laying block.
• Tuesday, 2/5/2019 - We spend most of the day tying rebar cages for the first bond beam, put form boards in place and then pour one of the bond beams. Several team members also paint the walls of one of the classrooms.
• Wednesday, 2/6/2019 - Wednesday's work on the construction simply continues where we left off yesterday. Several team members are not doing construction this week. We have a dental team as well as a vision team hard at work serving the community in a different manner. Several others do a clean up of the kindergarten play area and dress it up with small beds.
• Thursday, 2/7/2019 - More block is laid and more bond beams are poured. While we didn't finish the walls, we contributed enough money for the paid workers and community volunteers to complete the work after we are gone. The school hosts a farewell program for us, and each team member is presented with a parting gift.
• Friday, 2/8/2019 - We ride to Antigua for a day of rest and fine food.
• Saturday, 2/9/2019 - We return to Guatemala City and fly home.
